I’m feeling much more rested after a much-needed day off. I’m current with replies. Tomorrow is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, but the meditation between my Broncos and the Chiefs will not be televised locally. So nobody worries, I have a medical day and two prison volunteer days next week, so my blogging will be limited at best.

From MoveOn: The Truth About Bottled Water That You’re Not Supposed To Know
Personally I use tap water and have two Britta pitchers to filter it.
From NY Times: In the weeks since President Obama’s re-election, Republicans around the country have been wondering how to proceed. Some conservatives in Texas have been asking a far more pointed question: how to secede…
…Sales of bumper stickers reading “Secede” — one for $2, or three for $5 — have increased at TexasSecede.com [InsaniTEA delinked]. In East Texas, a Republican official sent out an e-mail newsletter saying it was time for Texas and Vermont to each “go her own way in peace” and sign a free-trade agreement among the states.
A petition calling for secession that was filed by a Texas man on a White House Web site has received tens of thousands of signatures, and the Obama administration must now issue a response. And Larry Scott Kilgore, a perennial Republican candidate from Arlington, a Dallas suburb, announced that he was running for governor in 2014 and would legally change his name to Larry Secede Kilgore, with Secede in capital letters. As his Web page, secedekilgore.com [Traitor delinked], puts it: “Secession! All other issues can be dealt with later.”
Good riddance, if that is what the majority wants, but only after they reimburse the US for all federal land in and all federal improvements to the state, in addition to returning all federal property from office equipment to military hardware.

Isn’t it amazing how just one schoolgirl is both more intelligent and more knowledgeable than the entire Republican Party?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

4:10 The big pussy cat was no problem, but I kept getting lost on that path! 3:39 on the 2nd try.
My second try was 3:45.
4:08 I must have been lyin' around too much today.
Good one Jerry!
We are so lucky in New Mexico because we have seen all of the Bronco games. Sorry Tom. Stay well and rested.
GRRRRRRRRR! 😉
Thanks Carrie.
Puzzle — 4:10 The big pussy cat was no problem, but I kept getting lost on that path! 3:39 on the 2nd try.
MoveOn — I have to confess that I drink bottled water mainly for the taste. But it is also much more convenient when I am on the run. I drink 3-4 litres of water most days so it really does help. But, EVERY bottle goes to recycling! When we buy any pop or water, we are charged a .05 refundable bottle deposit for 1 litre or less bottles, and a .03 non-refundable enviro fee. Larger bottles are more. Me bad for now.
NY Times — I have never seen such a bunch of cry babies, and all because they didn't get their way! And if it were to come to a vote, will it be a simple majority vote? I am convinced that this is a Republican/Teabagger tantrum and there has been little or no thought into just what secession means. What about all the people who don't want secession? Many can't just up and move. And if this goes forth, I agree with you TC. "Good riddance, if that is what the majority wants, but only after they reimburse the US for all federal land in and all federal improvements to the state, in addition to returning all federal property from office equipment to military hardware."
Think Progress — Not amazing at all when you consider all the really dumb things that Republicans have said and believe — think Mourdock, Akin, etc, etc! Very good presentation. Love how those Republican/Teabaggers melted in the wild fire!
Cartoon — Oh yea! DOWN

of the
sea!
Not Bad.
You could fill a permanent bottle with filtered water.
Thanks!
Amen!
Huge AMEN!
MoveOn ~ I use tap water from m well and use PUR filters.
NY Times ~ I say let them go and only pay for everything received in the past 4 years.
Think Progress ~ Do I have to instruct you in the basic RepublicanT's knowledge of science so soon again?
Cartoon ~ Ahhh! My dream come true!
Just as good.
Why limit it to four years?
Amen!
Amen again!
The presentation by a 13 yo about climate change was awesome – she deserves 1st place.
Lisa, I fully agree!
Science Girl presenting her dynamic demonstration of weather and climate change (how dirty energy causes dirty weather) was just BRILLIANT! And I am not in the least surprised that one young girl can show in a brief demonstration what the whole of the GOP and TP cannot begin to understand – that is because she is using more brain cells than the whole of the GOP and TP use combined!
(Over here a company has grown up over the last few years where you can buy all your energy as green energy – it costs a little more, but I think it is worth it so I do so. After it arrived the main energy companies started doing energy packages with some green energy in them.)
Amen Pat.
I don't have that option, so I use as little as possible.
