I must have been mighty pooped yesterday, because when my work was done I slept the rest of the day.  Today I’ll be collecting data for my final Election Projection tomorrow.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, and my Broncos will be meditating with the Bengals.  It will be televised here, so I’ll try to get the blog up early.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:13 (average 5:57).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: Bruce Springsteen Is Concerned For American Women

We should all be more than concerned.

From MSNBC: How Faux Noise Politicized the Sandy Benefit

I watched most of it, and it was so apolitical that I fell asleep. This is one more example of projection, Republicans accusing Democrats, without cause, for the things Republicans are doing themselves.

From Huffington Post: Republican Mitt Romney has millionaire backers, a huge staff and years of campaign experience, which may be enough to win the White House. President Barack Obama has one asset Romney can’t match, however: Bill Clinton.

The former president is sprinting through battleground states, delivering more speeches than Obama himself and, arguably, carrying much of the president’s re-election hopes on his 66-year-old shoulders.

As secret weapons go, they don’t get much better than Slick Willie!

  1. Puzzle — 4:30  This was a stinker!  That green on green really bugged me!

    MoveOn — AMEN!!!!!

MSNBC — So who do you want in the White House — a sociopathic idiot who takes his marching orders from non elected individuals whose only concern is profits (profits before people); or a human being who cares about people (definitely before profits) and is willing to work on a bipartisan basis to get things done (Obama and Chris Christie)?  Romney or Obama?  I'll take Mr Obama every time!!!  Faux Noise is just over the top jealous that they don't have a grown swell of support that is people centred!  This whole event was about priorities, the people, not politics.

Huffington Post — It is fortunate indeed that Mr Obama has Bill Clinton stumping for him.  Not just because Bill is so personable and people still relate to him, but because he has allowed Mr Obama to concentrate on the emergency at hand which is far more important than stumping.  Thanks Bill Clinton!

Cartoon — Yup, the Outsourcer-in-Chief.  He pledges his allegiance to the almighty greenback, not the flag.  And that means 'jobs, jobs, jobs' for China.

  2. Something to brighten your day – today's Washington Post Op-Ed endorsement of Pres. Obama.  While the whole thing is worth the read, the first and last paragraphs should do the trick of putting a smile on your face:

    Mitt Romney’s Campaign Insults Voters

THROUGH ALL the flip-flops, there has been one consistency in the campaign of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney: a contempt for the electorate.
     [snip]
Mr. Romney, by contrast, seems to be betting that voters have no memories, poor arithmetic skills and a general inability to look behind the curtain. We hope the results Tuesday prove him wrong.

  3. MoveOn ~ You tell 'em, Bruce!

MSNBC ~ FAUX Noise is falling into a  depression over their candidates poor performance in the latest polls. He can't compete with our President on any level. Governor Christie's good words about him have really hurt Mittens.

Huffington Post ~The Big Dog is making himself heard.  Bill Clinton has lost his voice in his zeal supporting our President.

Cartoon ~ How many more jobs would we lose under a Rmoney presidency? Scary. Isn't it?

Here's an endorsement I thought would never happen given Mittens' business (profiteering) Background:
