I’m running behind because defrosting my freezer is a bigger distraction than I remembered. My fridge sits on carpet and is across the room from the sink, so I have to empty the catch tray under the freezer every five or ten minutes to avoid an overflow onto the carpet, and change the bowls of hot water in the freezer to accelerate the ice melting every fifteen. I’m current with replies. Tomorrow appears routine, except for online grocery shopping to fill the empty fridge.

Short Takes:
From MoveOn: WHOA: Tagg Romney Caught On Tape Saying He Wanted To Take A Swing At The President
If Lord Willard did not want Obama contradicting his statements as untrue, he should told the truth. He called Obama a liar and was busted! As for Tagg, his preference is to respond to an intellectual challenge with physical violence. Obviously the apple did not tall far from the tree.
From USA Today: A Bangladeshi national, allegedly inspired by fallen al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was arrested Wednesday by federal authorities who accused him of a plot to bomb the Federal Reserve Bank in New York.
Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, 21, was taken into custody after allegedly assembling and attempting to detonate what he believed to be a 1,000-pound bomb whose components — unknown to him — had been provided by undercover federal agents.
Thank goodness a Democrat is in the White House! I have to wonder if he was working for Al Qaeda or Ron Paul! 😉
From TPM: Romney adviser Ed Gillespie told the Huffington Post after the debate that Romney opposed the passage of the bill, but would not repeal it.
A day later, he said something completely different to TPM.
“I was wrong when I said last night Governor Romney opposed the Lily Ledbetter act,” Gillespie said in a statement. “He never weighed in on it. As President, he would not seek to repeal it.”
What a load of malarkey! I saw Romney voice opposition to the Lilly Ledbetter Act in one of the early Republican debates.

3:19 Let's go cruising.
3:43 May I have a ride, Jerry? You drive so well.
Patty,
Welcome aboard!
3:57 My boat sprung a leak and I needed the extra time to bail it out!
Third.
MoveOn ~ That picture of Rmoney is an excellent portrayal of how he actually feels about us. What a look of contempt on his face! Tagg must have been raised to be a bully just like his Daddy Dearest.
USA TODAY ~ If W had still be in the WH, Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis would have succeeded.
Working for Ron Paul. ROFLMAO
TPM ~ I don't think Rmoney thinks women are equal to men and as their "underlings", they don't deserve equal pay. He would never come out and say that though because he REALLY wants to be POTUS.
Sign this letter to Rmoney along with Lily Ledbetter:

Thanks Patty. Signed. If Romney is going to make North America energy secure, then I should be able to tell him what I think from my place in North America!
Exactly!
True!
He thins women are here to serve men.
Thanks! been there. Signed that!
MEMO to Tagg:
Hey, Petunia, I got one word for you:
AFGHANISTAN!
You feeling all macho and testosteroney?
THAT'S GREAT!
Sign up. Enlist. Take your Mormon ass over there and actually start SERVING our country.
Tagg is just like his old man…all talk and no action, just another liar.
How about a draft for 1% youth only?
I'm all for that. They were able to buy their children out of the draft during Viet Nam.
Puzzle — My boat sprung a leak and I needed the extra time to bail it out! At least you weren't last TC!
MoveOn — Between Craig Romney saying that his father cheats and "That's what we need in the White House." http://www.care2.com/news/member/775377582/3460030 and now Tagg Romney saying that he wanted to take a swing at Mr Obama because he called his father a liar, (which we already know by his abundant lies, flip-flops and distortions) that family really is screwed up. Obviously, the apples didn't fall far from the tree of Ann and Mitt. Makes you wonder if Mitt is really the son of George Romney! And that picture, if looks could kill, Mr Obama would be dead 20 times over! But really, the person he should be angry at is himself. This is all self inflicted!
USA Today — This fellow's elevator did not go all the way to the top. He should have checked what he bought. Well at least he won't go to Gitmo! . . . but I doubt he'll see daylight again.
TPM — I think the entire campaign team is 'truth challenged". After all, they were the one encouraging lies during the prep for the first debate.
Cartoon — Conquered and ceeded by Spain at the end of the Spanish American War. Too bad that Puerto Ricans do not have the right to vote in federal elections. Seems to me that they, as US citizens, should have that constitutional right!
A little story — I took my mother to the chiropractor today and as we drove through the underground parking, I noticed a car with BC license plates and a Obama/Biden bumpersticker. Further along, a very nice fellow waited as I helped my mother from the car and then he parked to my right side. I noticed that his license plate was from California. When we arrived at the chiropractor's office, there he was waiting. So I asked him "Romney or Obama?" He looked a bit perplexed at the question and then asked how I knew to ask this question. License plates I replied. Not Romney but he finally said "the lesser of the 2 evils". We ended up having a short discussion and I reminded him to get his absentee ballot in. At that, it was mother's turn on the rack and I didn't see him again! I just thought how amusing that these 2 things should happen today.
A rare treat!
LOL!! He sure doesn't act liked George!
Amen.
True!
Because Puerto Rico is not a state, it does not have Electors in the Electoral College.
You go girl!
I was listening to the radio on the way home this afternoon and heard a report from a reporter that is trying to live for one week on the amount of money allowed for food when on welfare — $26. That's 21 meals for $26. Some of her observations:
1) a lot of beans and rice;
2) a lack of protein and sufficient vegetables and fruit;
3) I'm always hungry because it is too expensive to make balanced choices that "stick to the ribs";
4) too many cheap carbs;
5) too much time is spent on cooking and thinking about what to prepare;
6) pretty tasteless as spices are just too expensive;
7) I have a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove etc), but many people live in SROs with limited facilities so are often limited to 'add hot water and wait' type meals which are more expensive, offer no nutrition, and certainly don't fill one up;
8) I am tired and a bit cranky, and I am on day 5 of 7 days. What would it be like not to know when I was going to be able to stop this cycle?
I thought this was interesting and worth sharing. And if anyone wonders why kids from poor homes don't do as well in school, look at #8.
That reminds me of the time before I won SSDI disability.
