Today is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb. Iβm current with replies. Tomorrow appears routine, except that my Broncos are on Monday Night Meditation. π

Todayβs took me 5:15 (average 5:43). To do it, click here. How did you do?

RepubliCorp has a solution. Outsource your emergencies and our students to China.
From Yahoo News: President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are neck and neck in opinion polls, but there is one area in which the incumbent appears to have a big advantage: those who have already cast their ballots.
Obama leads Romney by 59 percent to 31 percent among early voters, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling data compiled in recent weeks.
I’ll take good news wherever I can find it.

Another Etch-a-Sketch goes up in flames from friction.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:10 I don't know how that happened!
3:58 Me neither but I'll take it! Maybe because I was raise around water (I was practically born in the water) and my father was in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. At 3 months old I was floating and squiggling in the water to propel myself (I 'swam' before I walked!); at 6 years old, I was riding on the old outhouse door being pulled by my grandfather's motor boat and standing some of the time; at 10 I had my Intermediate Red Cross; at 12 I was swimming 2 km across to an island and back, and I was canoeing by my self going great distances from home for 3-4 hours at a time. I loved the water but we never had a boat like this one. Give me a canoe any day!
3:30 I know it doesn't count, but I got it down — I can be a pit bull sometimes!
Great times!
Let's see if Jerry blows us both out of the water.
It must not have been as hard as I thought. π
Are you whining because two girls whooped your butt? Are you saying that if two girls whooped your sorry pussy cat butt, that the puzzle obviously couldn't be hard? π
Yup! Nope!
3:53 We're just cruising, not racing…although I did "cruise" just fast enough to WIN!
MoveOn ~ I often wondered how the people wo vote for these austerity budgets think their cities, town and villages will get along without taxes to pay for the services we need. Will it be "pay as you go"?
If you are the victim of a crime, will you have to hire your own detective to solve the crime ad then a prosecutor and a judge to see justice fulfilled?
Have a fire at your house or place of business? You better have your own firemen to put the fire out or else you're SOL.
Are their young children in your house? Hire your own teacher. Oh yeah! The rich already do that with their elite private schools like the ones Mittens attended.
Yahoo News ~ I'll give a HOORAY for this little bit of good news.
Daily Kos ~ Every time he opens his mouth, he contradicts himself. He stands behind everything he said even though he doesn't know what he said.
Cartoon ~ It was a great day for a great man!
Exactly!
Good.
It's irrevocable commitment to both sides of every issue.
Indeed.
Puzzle — 3:58 Sailin', sailin' over the boundin' sea . . .
MoveOn — Well said John Walsh! With the future dependent on educating kids with needed skills, laying off teachers is the worst thing to happen. Oh sure, the wealthy have their exclusive schools, and the evangelicals like to homeschool so that they get the 'correct' mix of creationism and morals but no taboo science. And police and firefighters — why would the rich need those when they can have their 'slaves' intervene or be highest on the priority list for responses. The way things are going, pretty soon these essential services will be all volunteer, but good luck having the wealthy volunteer!
Yahoo News — Don't be fooled. Every vote counts!
Get out the vote!!!!!
Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!
Daily Kos — "Mitt Romney Debates Himself, the Sequel" — No wonder the sheeple are confused! Romney is thoroughly confused about what he says and to whom. He is very clear what he believes — screw the people, the unwashed masses!!! Etch-a-Sketch or Etch-a-Screw???
Cartoon — A great man along with Mahatma Gandhi! I too have a dream that one day, all people the world over will have enough to eat and clean water to drink, have a sound roof over their heads, have an education, be free of tyranny, be at peace with their neighbours, and be free to pursue their own happiness.
Trivia note: Since you mentioned Mahatma Gandhi, just this past week 1,000 Indian students dressed up as look-alikes, and broke the Guinness Record. Kind of a fun picture of them:

I saw this before but I forget where. Quite a legacy from "this little brown man in a loin cloth", as he was called by a British reporter of the day.
The world would be a much better place if more people emulated Mahatma Gandhi.
One of my favorite quotes ~
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. "
Mahatma Gandhi
Amen!!! I introduced my youth group to Mahatma Gandhi years and years ago when the movie starring Sir Ben Kingsley came out. As I said to them then, and as I say today, he is the most Christ-like person I know of, and he is not Christian.
Far out!
Clobbered me!
Bingo!
It's ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-ad for the sheeple!
King followed Gandhi. I followed King.
