Willard Romney told one of the many tales he is using to make himself appear like he cares for the little people. Unfortunately for him, he was telling the truth to his fat-cat supporters, that he does not, so he has to lie to create that false impression. Now there are lies, and then there there lies so vile, that we should turn away from him in complete disgust, such as how much he had in common with former Navy Seal, Glen Dougherty. Two of Dougherty’s friends make this clear.
Here is how a friend of of Glen tells the story.
Elf Ellefsen met Glen Doherty skiing in Utah when he was 19, and the two men remained friends for more than 20 years.
"A guy living life wise beyond his years. Always trying to be progressive as well as do the right thing. Always challenging himself to his greatest ability," Ellefsen remembered.
He last saw Doherty a week before the final mission to Libya. "I stayed in his house (in California), we paddled out in the ocean together, spent some good quality time."
Ellefsen said Doherty recalled meeting Mitt Romney years ago, but the account was much different from what the Presidential candidate retold in Iowa.
According to Ellefsen, Romney introduced himself to Doherty four separate times during the gathering.
"He said it was very comical," Ellefsen said, "Mitt Romney approached him ultimately four times, using this private gathering as a political venture to further his image. He kept introducing himself as Mitt Romney, a political figure. The same introduction, the same opening line. Glen believed it to be very insincere and stale."
Ellefsen said Doherty remembered Romney as robotic.
"He said it was pathetic and comical to have the same person come up to you within only a half hour, have this person reintroduce himself to you, having absolutely no idea whatsoever that he just did this 20 minutes ago, and did not even recognize Glen’s face."… [emphasis added]

That does not sound at all like Lord Willard’s campaign lies about this. Ed Schultz confirmed this.

There it is, but that isn’t all. Romney represents and strongly supports Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christianity, anti-Christian legalism, that Republicans leaders love to force on others, but seldom observe themselves. It turns out that the this man, with whom Lord Willard claims to have so much in common, was an activist working for a strongly opposing view.
On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, Mitt Romney told a crowd of supporters in Van Meter, Iowa a story about an interesting Christmas party he and his wife attended in San Diego several years ago. According to his story, presidential candidate Romney had the chance opportunity to meet and even the time to "learn about" a very special former U.S. Navy SEAL. Romney did not mention the man’s name during the campaign event in Van Meter, but the Romney campaign later confirmed the former Navy SEAL was Glen Doherty, 42, one of the four Americans killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, along with the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens. The Romney campaign said that Romney met Doherty in 2009 or 2010, and that Romney did not know for sure that the man he met at the Christmas party a few years ago was the same man killed in Libya until a neighbor contacted Romney to inform him in the past few days.
I had the extreme good fortune, honor and privilege to work alongside Glen for years as a longtime member of the Advisory Board of the four-time, Nobel Peace Prize-nominated, civil rights charitable organization I founded and currently serve as president of called the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF). We currently are assisting over 30,000 American military personnel fighting against Christian fundamentalist religious extremism in our own armed forces. Glen selflessly served as a passionate, ’round-the-clock’ supporter of MRFF based on his fervent belief in its mission to protect the secular nature of the U.S. Military and the imperative this secular nature has to our national security. Separation of church and state in the United States military was not a trivial matter for Glen. It was his mantra…
…As informed citizens of the United States, we are all too aware of the rampant grandiose hyperbole generated as a result of our political campaigns. This absolutely disgusting, opportunistic travesty however was so much more, and so much lower, than the usual political ‘pablum’ that courses through our normal campaign emissions. This "performance" was simply naked and shameful exploitation of the life and memory of an actual American Hero. Romney did not "know" Glen. His insinuation that he somehow had a connection to Glen is disingenuous at best and a naked lie at worst. It is bold and bald untruthfulness. As Alfred Tennyson said, "A lie that is half truth is the darkest of all lies." A timely and heartfelt apology is truly in order here. [emphasis added]

Shameless is an understatement!

Rmoney has no shame!
Glen Doherty's mother, Barbara Doherty, and Elf Ellefsen were very kind in their put-downs of the Lord of Lies. I think I would have been a bit more severe.
I not only would have, but I was.
Mrs. Doherty has accurately taken the measure of Mitt Rmoney:

And a video of her …

Do you think they baptized him into the Mormon church posthumously too?
Thanks Nameless. She sure did.
For Rmoney, there is only one thing that matters — WINNING!!!!!
In winning, there is greed and there is power. For Rmoney, the end (winning) justifies the means. And, if that means using someone else or their story, or if it means taking something, then Rmoney will do it without batting an eye. The man has no soul.
Ed Schultz's question — Is Mitt Romney trustworthy?
I particularly liked one response that I saw — "Mitt Romney is cringeworthy, not trustworthy. " — So well put!
I disagree on one small point. Romney's soul is his asssoul. 😉

Thank you Jerry. 🙂
If RMoney ever had to fight in a war,he probably would pay someone to go in his stead.
It's easy to have courage when you know you will never see any harm come to you or your buddies.
It's an insult for him to even talk about people he has absolutely nothing in common with, and nothing to offer them for their valued service.
One lie too many, and he will forever be non-believable.
Even if he were to shock us and tell the truth.
SiouxZ what he actually did was to demonstrate in support of the war, but he used a religious deferment to go suffer missionary life in a Parisian penthouse. If he ever tells the truth about anything, there will be soiled underwear all over America.
Congrats on your BigMouth Award! :=D
I do not believe this poor excuse for a man is capable of telling the truth ; Nor do I believe he would recognize truth if it bit him in his constipated ass!
Are you saying he is constipated, because he's so full of…
