Another month has come, and the comfortable temperatures are reminding me why Autumn is my favorite season of the year. Iβll be spending a lot of time today collecting the data for tomorrowβs Monthly Report. Iβm current with replies. Tomorrow appears routine.

From MoveOn: HILARIOUS: This ‘SNL’ Parody Of ‘Fox And Friends’ Is 100% Spot On
The Lord Willard parody is hilarious, and what the comedians said is hard to tell from the real Faux and Fiends.
From Politico: As President Barack Obama has gained in Ohio polls, so has incumbent Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, who has now jumped out to a 10-point leadover [sic] GOP Senate candidate Josh Mandel, according to a poll released Monday.
A survey from the Columbus Dispatch found Brown ahead of Mandel by a margin of 10 points, 49 percent to 39 percent. The last Dispatch poll, out Aug. 26, had the two candidates tied at 44 percent.
The longer and stronger Obama’s coattails become, the better off America will be.
From Crooks and Liars: Those protectionist Villagers are at it again, inviting one of their cocktail partners to opine on a top-rated national program, who deserves no such recognition. And shame on David Gregory and Executive Producer Betsy Fischer Martin for promoting it by inviting Ralph Reed to insult the President of the United States’ honesty in his undisclosed role as proxy for the Mitt Romney campaign.
Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
This is the same Ralph Reid that duped millions of evangelicals into contributing to keeping women in slave labor camps with forced prostitution in the Marianas. His presence in Lord Willard’s campaign indicts Lord Willard. His presence on Meet the Press indicts the entire show.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:56 I find black and white puzzles harder than colored ones. My time may be more than one minute under the average, but I don't think it will hold up against the girls. I think the hugs will turn into a choke hold.
5:11 I'm nippin' at TC's tail but you're ahead of both of us. I'm not much for 'shades of gray' either! Only Patty can dethrone you now! Hmmm, this sounds like a good book title — 'game of thrones'.
4:17 Shades of grey must suit me.
Patty punked again! π
Yup, but at least you weren't last!
Puzzle — 5:11 Damn, nippin' at your tail again TC! It sure pays to be able to see 50 shades of gray and not be a black and white thinker for this one!
MoveOn — Unfortunately not available in Canada. Tried local TV station but not listed there yet. Is this the 29/09/12 episode?
Politico — I saw this in the Huffington Post Election Dashboard courtesy of Nameless's link.

Not only is the Columbus Dispatch poll showing Brown ahead by 10 points, some of the others are as well. Even Rasmussen, which I understand to be very conservative have him ahead by 8 and Faux News ahead by 7. From what I have heard, Mandel is a crook, but then he is part of the GOP.
I think some people are finally waking up from their long winter's nap of 2009 and seeing that Mr Obama has accomplished a great deal, even despite the do-nothing Congress that obstructed him all the way! No time to be complacent though!
Get out the vote!!!!! Four more years!!!!!
Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!
Meet the Press — Ralph Reed has the audacity to say Mr Obama has a "casual relationship with the truth" and go on to say near the end that the Congress is more polarised now than it had been when he started. Well the blame for the polarisation lies directly with Republicans who on 20/01/09 were scheming to make Mr Obama a one term president even as he was being inaugurated. They made things bad enough that the 2010 mid-terms turned away from Mr Obama and made things even worse. And Reed is the last to talk about a casual acquaintance with the truth. From Wikipedia, Reed's involvement in the Indian gambling scandals:
He puts Pinnochio to shame! It is amazing that he hasn't done jail time.
Cartoon — Sorry, not a baseball fan. Was 61 a lot of homeruns? I am assuming that was the reference. My grandfather was in New York for the 1921 World Series and had a game ball from the final game. I imagine my dad took it and then likely my step brother sold it after my dad's death 5 years ago. My grand dad was very proud of that ball and had thought of playing professional ball, but then didn't, I think because he met my grandmother.
That puzzle is not for Republicans.
I think it is!
LOL! Poor Lynn!
Thanks for expanding on Reed.
61 was when Babe Ruth's record of 60 was finally broken.
Well so much for that little chart that was so easy to read! This new format is not so friendly!
Here's a trick. Neither Firefox nor Chrome handle formatted charts right in the clipboard, so when you paste, you get what you got. For charts, go to the page in IE. That's one thing at which IE excels.
I use IE. For example, at the top of the screen right now it shows:
Open Thread 10/01/2012 – Politics Plus…-Windows Internet Explorer
It would have showed a similar thing at the top of the Huff Post page.
Hmmmm. Maybe it's because I paste from IE to One-Note and from One Note to the web.
Reading an article on Care2 and a comment contained this website for verifying your registration to vote. I know nothing more about it as I'm not American, but thought you all might be interested.

MoveOn ~ SNL sketch was pricelesss. Too bad they realy don't roll the FactChech results at the end of every NEWS broadcast.
I am so glad Sherrod Brown is ahead of Mandel in the polls. The Kochs et al keep pouring money into Ohio against him. I hope the people show the Fat Cats that their votes CANNOT be bought.
How could they have that evil man on Meet the Press?Does he even know what the truth is? Campaign promises not kept because of obstructionism are not lies.
I used to enjoy watching until David Gregory took Tim Russert's place after his death.
I remember when Roger Maris got number 61. In school, we all had our favorite. Mine was Mickey Mantle.
Wouldn't that be nice?
Amen!
Shameful!
The two were neck and neck in HRs all year, but Maris pulled ahead at the end.
Since David Gregory took over, I no longer watch Meet The Press. My blood pressure can't handle him.
I understand. It was once a Great Show.
