Today is a volunteer day in prison, working with a small group of prisoners doing CoDA. I have this and one other article, but I’ll have no time to distribute links. I caught up on comments yesterday afternoon, and will again before I leave, if I can. When I return, my apartment will be super heated, after being closed up all day, so I’m likely to be too exhausted to do much tomorrow.

Isn’t the reason Willard is trying to hide all these things obvious by now?
From CNN: People don’t generally care what politicians read. But Rep. Paul Ryan is different. His fascination with the Russian-born novelist Ayn Rand could spell trouble for the GOP’s new vice-presidential candidate. It could put him at odds with the Christian right and the Roman Catholic Church.
It all depends how much you believe that he is in the thrall of Ayn Rand.
Rand (1905-1982) is controversial because of the extremism of her views. In researching my recent book, I found that Rand’s influence on the Republican Party, which dates back as far as her endorsement of Wendell Willkie in 1940, has been sharply growing, largely due to her vise-like hold on the imagination of the tea party and people like Ryan.
If Willard and Ratso win, Atlas will not shrug. He’ll crap his pants.

I dealt with their lie yesterday, but Ed did it better. We all love and support Bernie, because he is always spot-on. Bernie supports Obama/Biden, not some pie in the sky choice that wastes votes and helps Republicans. That’s spot-on too!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
3:51 TomCat, I think we both will need life preservers to save us from Patty and Lynn today.
3:52 on my iPad using my finger to move the pieces around. At least I am consistent.
3:36 No life preservers today, sorry. You guys locked us out yesterday. Our turn to watch you sink, metaphorically of course! Ok Patty, you're up. Don't throw them a life preserver.
3:22 Maybe I got my groove back, finally.
You sank the three of us on this one. Hopefully I can float to the top with the next puzzle.
Yup. We were lunch.
Puzzle — 3:36 I was practically born in water learning to float and dog paddle at 3 months of age — yes, that is correct, 3 MONTHS of age! I didn't get a nice orange water donut though! I got a black inner tube to play with. I had my intermediate Red Cross at 10 years and could do all the stuff for the senior Red Cross but they wouldn't let me do it because I wasn't 16 years old. They had already made an exception on the Intermediate since you were supposed to be 12 or 13.
MoveOn — Oh yea! Rob mentioned yesterday that a possible reason (still rumour though as far as I know) that Rmoney won't release his tax returns is that he received a tax amnesty which would preclude him for POTUS. And in another article I read, "Romney's Death Squad Ties: Bain Launched With Millions From Oligarchs Behind Salvadoran Atrocities" http://truth-out.org/news/item/10876-romneys-death-squad-ties-bain-launched-with-millions-from-oligarchs-behind-salvadoran-atrocities there are significant questions about the start up money for Bain Capital, from which of course Rmoney has made millions upon millions.
CNN — Atlas didn't wear pants. He wore a loin cloth, at best! I think we will all catch the fall out if these two, Evil and Eviler, are elected.
The GOP vs The Big Three — Look at that profile of Ryan on that video. He is starting to grow his Pinochio nose as we watch!
Damn, they are still at it — up holding the rights of insurance companies and pharmaceuticals over the rights of people. Maintaining the overcharges of the corporations rather than the people. Great to hear Bernie talking up. He is a saint in my book!
Cartoon — Mad Hatters vs Mad Haters. Hmmm….. If this is a vote, I vote for Mad Haters!
I hear you on that. I was a Red Cross WSI and trained lifeguards.
Indeed.
Mine as well.
Both fit.
Do you ever wonder if Rmoney is a real human being or a robot instead? Shades of Invasion of the Body Snatchers comes to mind also. They are both Koch-suckers. Forget the Mad hatter logo.
Patty, I just don't see how a robot could be that greedy. Mad hatters I could do in mixed company. 😉
"…or should I have said haters?"
Sociopaths….
That works!
