I just saw an update with about 72% counted — the Fartfuhrer 55%, Barrett 44%. There was also word that the Democrats looked like they took back the Senate but didn’t hear anything of the Lt Gov race. Barrett has not yet conceded defeat. There was also a note that the DOJ is watching this carefully, but sorry, I don’t put much stock in that. The Fartfuhrer really is in dire need of a swirley!
If this stands, it is indeed a very sad day for Wisconsinites.
Sadly, Barrett was defeated!
Koch money goes further in Madison than it does in Columbus, by all appearances.
Last night’s disastrous vote guarantees that far-right assaults on working people and their unions will increase rather than decrease. It was one of the most horrible defeats for laborers in the past 60+ years.
It looks like the Koch-suckers won this round.
But they can’t be allowed to win the next round, nor the match!

No unions
No pensions
No job security
No company provided health insurance (you watch they are going to try to do this)
No recalls ever again for any reason (They have already said they are going to revise this policy in their state constitution)
No Social Security
No Medicare
No Medicaid
No unemployment insurance
No worker’s compenstion funding or board
No regulations (for anything, this includes OSHA)
No public education system — they are already working on that one to their success
No minimum wage (they already have a plan to get rid of this)
No equal pay for equal work
No contraception
No abortion (for ANY reason – they have won on this ground in far too many states already)
No scientific research on anything beneficial to humanity or to animal husbandry (but there will be abundant research for military/policing purposes)
No climate change acknowledgement or regulation of same or doing anything to stall it from happening
No rights (we already know what’s happening on that front don’t we)
No justice (in other words, TORT reform on steroids – corporations, pharmacorps, agribusiness, DOW/DuPont/Monsanto can basically do whatever they want including killing off people and/or entire species just because they can and, therefore, without judicial recourse — they will)
No Middle Class
No homeowners protections (they will take your home/your possessions at will (they can basically do this now b/c of present policies)
No clean water
No clean air
No freedom to travel (oh, yeah, that one’s coming — why do you think they have a no fly list? It ain’t because of terrorists)
No choices
No happiness
No hope
Starting to get the frikken picture? I have already lived this nightmare and it has had a lasting imprint over the course of my entire life. I never thought this could ever happen in America…..and here it is. Rove and all his minions have already vomited their evil plans over the airwaves beginning the night of the recall. They will now come at us all in each and every state — state by state — with this blueprint for political coup via ALEX/Kocksucker money to OVERTHROW DEMOCRACY. Rove said as much on the news programmes last night. This is how democracy dies. This is how totalitarianism is enacted without a shot being fired. Wake the f***up America, your slavery is at hand.
