Yesterday I was just too tired to get the sleep I needed, so I’m only putting up an Open Thread today.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow I expect to put up a full slate.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:27 (average 4:46).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: Mitt Romney’s Numbers Here Make George W. Bush Look Like A Rocket Scientist

26Rmoney

That’s why Rmoney wants to etch the sketch on Massachusetts.

From NY Times: High above northwestern Australia, a robotic arm on the International Space Station grabbed onto a cargo capsule floating 10 meters away.

With that penultimate act, the Space Exploration Technologies Corporation of Hawthorne, Calif., or SpaceX, made history as the first private company to send a craft, the Dragon, to the station.

I still oppose exclusively privatizing space exploration, but at least someone is doing something.

From MSNBC: Bernie Sanders joins Ed Schultz to support Barack Obama against Romney’s lies.

Everything that Obama has sais about Rmoney and his history are both accurate and appropriate. As always Bernie is spot on. As Sanders is an Independent socialist, 3rd party advocates should note his support for Obama and the Democratic Party. I also want Obama to go to Fitzwalkerstan.

  1. 3:32  The puzzle is a caricature of the republican healthcare plan.

  2. MoveOn — The Rmoney plan is like the shifting sands of the Sahara Desert — dry, lifeless and shifting with the wind!  I’ve heard Rmoney has said that he should be judged on his accomplishments while governor of Massachusetts.  He should be judged on his record as governor which is quite a different matter.  Vote Democratic 2012!!!!!  Vote Obama/Biden 2012 !!!!!

NY Times — Great that some space exploration continues but there needs to be some regulation so that it doesn’t become just another toxic dump.  On the other hand, maybe Newty will go into space sooner!  Now that it toxic dumping at it’s worst.

Cowpies of distortion — I have personal experience with very fresh cowpies having been pushed by the Fink brothers so that I landed on my butt smack in the middle of the biggest and freshest cowpie ever.  I was 13 years old and it was 95 degrees Farenheit!  Nobody woulld come near me for the rest of the day (I was at day camp).  May Rmoney get pushed on his Republican/Teabagger butt into every stinky cowpie around so that no one comes near him!  And may the American people recognise it, not as garden manure that nurtures, but as the bull shit it is!

Like you TC, an Obama visit to Fitzwalkerstan would be an incredible boost to the Jun 5th recall election of Scott Walker.  The people of Fitzwalkerstan need to hear that the country is with them in getting rid of the vermin spawn of Rove, Norquist and the Kochs.

Cartoon — At least Johnson was brought to trial (impeachment) even though he was acquitted.  Unfortunately, that didn’t happen with Baby Bush or Cheney. Were there the political will, these two Republican/Teabagger scoundrels could still be hauled before the ICC in The Hague.  I would love to see that if for no other reason than to demonstrate that no one is above the law.

    • Very well said.  His only accomplishment was Obamacare.

      Excellent point!

Wouldn’t cow pies clean him up?

That’s so true.  I’m guessing his campaign advisers fear a loss of face if Obama goes and the Fartfuhrer wins anyway, due to his 25:1 financial advantage.

From your keyboard to God’s eyes!

I always voice out loud at the Veteran’s Hospital that Willard Romney’s job numbers fell to 47th while he was Governor of Massachusetts…
