Yesterday and today my COPD and bursitis have been severe, but since it’s cool, I can publish through that. I’m current with replies. Tomorrow I have errands to run.

From MoveOn: Three Words In The Bible That Some People Totally Ignore
Perhaps that’s because Republican supply-side pseudo-Christianity is based on hate, fear, and greed, not love.
From LA Times: A group behind a costly endeavor to field an independent presidential ticket this fall acknowledged Thursday that its efforts to nominate a candidate had failed.
Americans Elect succeeded in getting on the ballot in 29 states, but none of its prospective candidates received the minimum support needed to participate in a Web-based series of primaries that were to be held this month…
…The top declared candidate, former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer, had tallied about 6,300 clicks of support on the Americans Elect website by Thursday – far short of the minimum 10,000 required.
From the beginning, this has been a right wing attempt to field a left wing 3rd party candidate to draw votes away from Obama. Good riddance!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
3:37 Will the one minute rule hold up this time?
Pattiprobably not. 😉
I doubt the senators will get this bill passed for corporate miscreants, but if they do I think it should also apply to all the companies who have outsourced out jobs to China, India, Indonesia, VietNam, etc. to keep from paying a living wage or taxes.
I agree,
MoveOn — Excellent T shirt! I want me one! The perfect slogan for a Republican/Teabagger T shirt — “I make hate, not peace!”
Third Party Candidates — Now that the organising committe has come out and said it isn’t viable right now, could Americans please get back to a viable election result and vote out all Republican/Teabaggers and vote in Democrats in 2012!!! Then start building the grassroots political movement that people want!
Vote Democrat 2012!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!
The Non Citizens — Over the years, how many people have found themselves stateless, wishing they belonged somewhere? And these idiots voluntarily give up citizenship as a way to avoid taxes. They should be happy they have a large tax bill because that means they have great financial wealth, not that that will make them any happier..
Cartoon — Ah, Mt St Helens! I remember it well. I was living in Victoria, BC and it was Sunday morning. I was getting ready for church when this huge gush of hot air blew in through the open window sending the curtains flying horizontally. And, although the day was sunny and warmish, the blast of hot air was vey noticeable. On my way to church, I heard that Mt St Helens blew her cork and volcanic flows and ash were abounding. Of course, the news was abuzz with this and new concerns about volcanic activity around the Pacific Ring of Fire were rising daily. We didn’t get much ash, but if I recall correctly, places in eastern Washington were hit so hard that it was like a whiteout blizzard!
I was living in the Seattle area (Bellevue, across the lake) when St. Helens blew. We could see the ash cloud from our apartment. Was visiting relatives in Eugene when the second eruption occurred a week later, and we had to drive back through the ash-fall. As we crossed the Columbia into Washington, it began to rain, which turned I-5 into a skating rink from Vancouver to Chehalis. I grew up in Michigan, so driving on slippery roads was nothing new to me, but I have never driven on anything as slippery as that wet ash. It was a very, very long trip.
Glad you made it!
Me too!
Completely agree!
May karma be a bitch!
Portland was whited out at times. Getting home from work, I had to stop three times to clean my air filter.
