Yesterday I had a COPD flare-up so severe, that I had to cancel my work in prison and return to bed. Spring is usually the worst time of year for this. Today I’m trying to get the blog up, and it looks like I’ve made it. I’m current with replies, albeit tersely. Tomorrow is yet to be determined.

From NY Times: After a series of violent episodes and setbacks, support for the war in Afghanistan has dropped sharply among both Republicans and Democrats, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
The survey found that more than two-thirds of those polled — 69 percent — thought that the United States should not be at war in Afghanistan. Just four months ago, 53 percent said that Americans should no longer be fighting in the conflict, more than a decade old.
It’s time to begin to withdraw troops and keep it up until none remain.

You have all probably read about Rmoney’s mega-remodel job of his mansion right on the Pacific beach in La Jolla, CA – you know, the one that requires him paying over $21,500 JUST in LOBBYSIST FEES to get it done? (I don’t know about you, but when I built my nephew’s tree house those Lobbyist fees proved to be a killer.)
I suppose if you’re going to devote 3,600 sq. ft. just for the basement to store your cars, it only makes sense that you include an ELEVATOR for those cars. I’m not rich like Rmoney, so my poor little car has to take the stairs!
Fortunately, the architect leaked a rendering of what it will look like – and it appears Seamus is finally going to travel in style:
Good one Nameless! And Mrs Rmoney doesn’t think of herself as rich? How many poor and middleclass people have private elevators in their homes just for their cars to use? Does it come with its own elevator operator who is paid minimum wage, or does Rmoney dirty his hands with such a pedestrian duty? Nameless, I think you and the dog will have to use the stairs!
His 4 car garage isn’t big enough for the 4 vehicles he said they own? Must be he’s planning on buying a few more to add to his fleet.

MoveOn — I really don’t understand why Republican/Teabaggers are so anti women. They have mothers and sisters, wives and daughters — do these women just sit down and be quiet? Do their women depend oon them for their identity? And the women GOPs like Battle Ax Brewer, how do they justify the war on women, of which they are presemably a part? The ballot box will be an interesting place this November, assuming they haven’t been rigged!
Afghanistan — To parapharse an old football cheer, bring ’em back, bring ’em back, all the way back! And the quicker the better!Afghanistan doesn’t want the help and the costs are just too high in people, materiel, and money.

Scalia and Thomas, Injustices that they are, had that look on their faces of relief or pending relief. So appropriate, especially with the hearings this week on ObamaCare.

I firmly believe they will lose their War on Women in November. If not, we have a lot of stupid women here in the States.

They will probably dump on us again. Kennedy is hoping for an overwhelming vote this time so it won’t be a 5-4 decision. He just hates to take sides. It seems so partisan to him. Hypocrite!
