GOPBullIn the Florida Primary, there were no surprises. Romney beat Gingrich by a 14% margin, largely because he spent almost ten times what Gingrich spent on advertising.  Santorum was a distant third and Ron Paul mattered so little that he could not even pull 10%.  Gingrich was such a bad loser that he did not even give Romney the customary phone call congratulating him.  Romney won 50 delegates, but that’s more complicated than meets the eye.  We’ll go into that.  Also, we’ll cover the Important Election.

Here are the  election results for Florida.

Florida gets only 50 delegates, instead if their normal 99, because The Republican controlled state government moved up the primary earlier that RNC rules would permit.  The RNC penalized Florida by taking half their delegates.  The RNC also has a new rule forbidding winner take all primaries.  But the government of Florida broke that rule too, figuring that they have already received the RNC’s maximum punishment.  However, at the convention, any Gingrich supporter can challenge the distribution of delegates to the credentials committee.  They may well override Florida and redistribute the delegates proportionally.

The most important thing to know is that if any of these candidates becomes President, YOU lose!

In the important election, I’m pleased to announce that Suzanne Bonamici is Oregon’s new representative in the First Congressional District, and congratulate her on a well deserved win.

1Bonamici

Currently, Bonamici leads 54% to 39% with 68% of precincts in.

After running a very dirty campaign, Rob Cornilles has once again been rejected by Oregon voters, who were too well informed to believe his lies.  Cornilles ignored the Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt not commit Teabuggery!

  1. How do Elephants Get so Full of Bull? —- Silly!  They’re Bull Elephants!!!!!  LOL!!!!!

Ok, ok!  I won’t give up my day job!  Wait, I don’t have one!  Damn, I can become a comedienne!

So, if the RNC has taken away 49 of 99 electoral delegates from Florida for flanting the rules, what happens to those 49?  Do they become delegates at large at the RNC available to the highest bidder in keeping with the GOP mantra that money can buy anything?  Or are they held in reserve to see if any of the Gingrich delegates challenge the distrbution?  Or if Gtngrich supporters do challenge and win their challenge, is it the 50 to Rmoney that are divided up with the 49 still in the RNC penalty box?  Any way you cut it, the Republican/Teabaggers not only screw the nation, they screw themselves!  Contortionists!  I’ll bet that has Sanctimonius Santorum tsk tsking!

Congratulations to Suzanne Bonamici!  and congratulations to Rob Cornilles for proving once again that Republican/Teabaggers can’t be trusted and aren’t worth political shit!  The 11th commandment is wonderful — Thou shalt not commit Teabuggery!  Good thing that Cornilles did ignore it.

    • AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

No the other 49 do not exist, unless the RNC changes their mind, in which case they would be appointed.

      Amen!

  2. I still think that they are going to have to turn to Jebbo as their savior, after Willard and Newt get done with each other.

The most enjoyable thing about Newt’s and Willard’s attacks on each other are: most of their attacks are TRUE. Obama can save a lot on ad buys by just recycling what these clowns are doing to each other.

  3. Love the sign! Elephants aren’t generally noted carnivores, it must be the unique North American species!

Interesting that the newt got the redneck vote, while mr moneybags got the Florida fat cat retiree vote (what do they care, they retired to FL because it’s cheap and there aren’t taxes on their millions) – it’s also filled with reptiles making the republicans there more comfortable with species they can relate to!

I’m happy for “good friend’s” win! Oregon is a better state than most! I’m donating my body to science there, so my last flight will be to Portland – you can greet me if you wish!  Can’t wait to get out of the city!  🙂

  4. How do Elephants Get so Full of Bull?  They remember what it takes to rule there world. It’s great that Suzanne Bonamici won Oregon.  Let’s hope by the 2012 Election Not only a win for Obama/Biden but another win for democrats wiping out the tea party/republians win in 2012

    • Mama, I think it’s a mathematical impossibility for us to get 60 in the Senate, but if we hold a majority there, keep the White House and take the House, I’ll be satisfied.

  5. The voters just can’t get enthusiastic about these clowns. Out of 4.1 million registered RepublicanTs in FL only about 2.5 million voted in the primary yesterday. Go figure.

You could almost bet on someone contesting the electoral votes all going to Mittens.

Congratulations to Susan Bonamici and the people of Oregon!

  6. Actually the entire show is great fun– hard to decide if it’s all satire or caricature- The little fat boy with Chuckie’s face–  The stiff    Mr Priss—  Mr Sanctus ;holier than holy , the escapee from a home for demented elders– A bad  English comedy ? All competing for the  rich redneck vote- And all bought and paid for by corporate persons—-gotta laugh–or I would cry at how the system of government we  enjoyed , and which  once worked so well is being destroyed as the world laughs–

  7. Well, there was one HUGE surprise to me.  Voting in the Florida Primary was DOWN 14.4% when comparing the 2008 count of 1,949,498 to yesterday’s 2012 count of 1,669,640 (those are the latest figures, although it will probably go up a bit more).

And voting overall for the past four caucus/primaries is DOWN 4.0% compared to 2008!  So much for that much-ballyhooed “repubican Enthusiasm” the “liberal media” has been crowing about.
