MY COPD has flared up pretty severely today, and I’m not able to spend the hours in research I need to build the quality you deserve.  I expect to be back after one day off.

  1. I suspect we’d all feel a good deal better if we knew that you were getting some medical attention of some type.  Take care, take time & get well!

Just in case you missed it, Donald Trump has pulled out from hosting his “debate” that was scheduled only a few days before the Iowa caucuses.  I just think how much better off our country would be if The Donald’s dad had “pulled out” about 65 years ago!

    • LOL!  The GOP gives another big FU to The Donald.

    • Nameless, he has Medicare through his SS disability, but it’s hard to get to a doctor or the ER when a) you feel like shit and b) it takes planes, trains and buses to get there.  I’m concerned too but he may be one of those men who won’t go to the doctor until they are near death.  Btw, that pic is hilarious!

    • Nameless, speaking of nausea, that picture of Trump will do it everytime (for that matter, any picture of Trump will!).  Given that his father screwed up, his mother should have thrown the baby out with the bath water!  The man is an insult to the human race!

  2. It seems like your COPD has been kicking up lately.  I hope you were successful in your efforts to quit smoking.  We all know that COPD and cigarettes do not mix.

  3. TC – you need to slow the fuck down.  This upper respiratory/flu thing this year is really bad.  You’ve been sick for over 4 weeks now. I was sick with the flu for 5 weeks and upper respiratory for 3 weeks.  It goes away for a day or so, then it comes back and you feel like you’re  dying.  This thing, whatever it is, is really bad. Just make sure you stay hydrated and take an over the counter decongestant.  Hopefully, you’ll be back  in fine form soon.  Take care and rest!

  4. Thanks everyone,  I appreciate your concern, and rest assured I am getting proper medical care.  I am trying to take it easier, which is why I’m taking another day off instead of pushing myself beyond my limits.  This is nothing new.  I normally get one like it every winter.  Hugs to all.

  5. Thanks all.  Still down.  I tried to watch part of the Republican debate.  Nausea and COPD are a bad mix. 🙁

    • Today is the 16th and it’s 11:59.  I hope that the lack of update means you are asleep and looking after yourself!  Take care.

  6. That was correct Lynn.  I hope to be back within a couple days.

  7. Looks like it will be another day or two.

  8. Hard as it is to believe, Sarah Palin may actually brighten your recovery.  (After all – she IS “The gift that keeps on giving.”)

Palin is surely mourning the death of Kim Jong Il, because in her own words she said: “But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies.”

  9. Get well soon, Tom! Don’t make me come up there and force feed you chicken soup!

    Caring about you,

    Marva and Jack
