I’ve given you two articles on the police brutality committed Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna. Lawrence O’Donnell has done an excellent job with this, and had an update that needs no further comment from me.

I’ll keep following this.

Olbermann is all over this too.
Good!
Now the NYPD will from the outset target those with cell phones and video cams first to keep documentation from leaking!!! They’ll probably create some law to ban demonstrators from the use of video equipment and search demonstrators prior to involvement – confiscating cameras and cell phones – I’m on to their shenanigans – having participated in several demonstrations here – they are ruthless – they won’t allow anyone to join a march or demonstration now if you don’t start demonstrating at the very beginning, they cordon off streets during marches so that those of us who may be older and incapable of marching several blocks cannot participate at all – these are our pigs in blue – I only disagree with Lawrence that “most” officers act reasonably – I woud caviat that point – saying that most are afraid of the notoriety that the officer shown is going to have to withstandd – that is really the motivation for less abuse – not that they are so humane!!!
Lee, several red states have made such a law. The courts ruled the laws unconstitutional.
“To serve & protect their own.”
Some of them.
Looks like Officer Baloney likes being a dick, very much. That and getting free donuts and shakedown money, I imagine.
I would believe that!
Lawrence O’Donnell’s coverage is excellent! Bologna already has one incident of some kind for which a decision has yet to be made. Then he pepper sprays the women behind the orange netting without provocation. In this picture he appears to be escorting a woman that he has already sprayed and he sprays others as he walks down the sidewalk — they are walking away from him presenting no threat to him. This guy is a psycho in desperate need of a shrink. As a deputy inspector he should be upholding the proceedures for the use of the spray. But he doesn’t If I were his boss, I’d have him on the carpet and out the door really fast. I have had to fire people in my day, and it isn’t fun. But if you let him off completely, or with a reprimand or demotion, it is going to send the wrong message to his fellow officers. Given that there was blue flu, he is certainly not well thought of by the rank and file. I also saw in some video footage that he managed to spray police officers also, although not directly.
He’s one level above a Captain. Shameful!
