Anytime Democrats mention that millionaires, billionaires, and criminal corporations should share in the sacrifice to repair the damage to our economy, that they and their Republican lackeys caused, the decent thing would be to give back a small part of the largesse gained as a result of Republican welfare for the rich. Instead, Republicans have fallen back on the old accusation of class warfare. An attendee at an Elizabeth Warren event video recoded her. Contained in that video is one of the best counters for the Republican class warfare lie that I have ever heard.
Former White House financial reform adviser Elizabeth Warren, who is now running to challenge Republican Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts, is turning out to be one Democrat who is not shying away from the Republican cries of “class warfare” against President Obama’s proposals to raise taxes on those with very high incomes — instead offering up a full-throated rebuttal about the benefits that the wealthy were able to obtain from society at large, and the need to give something back.
In a video of a recent Warren appearance, posted online by an individual who says he or she is not affiliated with the campaign, Warren answered the charge. “I hear all this, you know, ‘Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever,’” Warren said. “No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody.
“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did… [emphasis added]

So lets see if the MSM picks this up…they won’t because the owners of such networks are a part of that 1% club and want more, more, more. They are also one of the biggest opponents to campaign finance reform since they make so much off the candidates by airing their TV adds.

Elizabeth Warren IS the only candidate truly fighting for the middle class across the political spectrum. But before 2016 she must first win election as Senator from Massachusetts. She is going against Scott Brown, a phony and a minion of Wall St., bought and paid for. He already is sitting on a 10 million dollar campaign fund and it will only grow both directly and indirectly thanks to Citizen’s United. I am a Massachusetts resident and I plan on working for and contributing to Ms. Warren’s campaign but make no mistake, though I believe truth will out and Ms. Warren is not afraid to tell it, moneyed interests will do all that is possible to stop her. If we really want to see her take on those interests that work to our detriment then we must ante up, big time. There is every possibility that once elected Ms. Warren will easily pick up the mantle not only of Ted Kennedy, but the likes of Paul Wellstone et al. You want her elected? Then step up. This is our democracy and unless we elect fighters such as Elizabeth Warren we will lose it.

I saw this video when I was reading for today’s Open Thread in Raw Story (wandering through articles is my version of going to the shopping mall!). This is an intelligent women who is going to put Republican’s cleanly on their keisters Another short article in Raw Story was about Brown who was overheard on his cellphone saying to someone “She was down 20 last week, she can’t be up 2.”, a specific reference to her support being 46% (up from 24%) and his now at 44%. I think Brown might be a little scared looking at a locomotive coming straight down the track at him. No one can sit on their laurels because Brown does have deep pockets, but she would be the best person for the job because she has a clear vision of the people she will serve.
