Yesterday I spent most of the day at DMV replacing my Oregon ID, but more about that in a separate article. I’m running a sleep deficit that I hope to counter today. I have to stay home because the bank is overnighting my replacement credit card. I am current on replies.

Short Takes:
From LA Times: Tim Pawlenty was right to align his campaign with that of the underdog USA men’s hockey team that upset the Soviets in the 1980 Olympics. But ABC Sports thinks he was wrong to use footage from that historic game in his latest commercial.
According to the Des Moines Register, ABC will soon be sending the Pawlenty campaign a cease-and-desist letter because the Republican presidential hopeful not only used the network’s copyrighted footage but included a soundbite of Al Michaels’ famous line, "Do you believe in miracles?"
Is there nothing Republicans won’t steal?
From MSNBC: Lawrence O’Donnell’s take on all the debt ceiling rumors.

We need to think, wait, and see instead of allowing fear to drive us to distraction over every rumor.

TomCat,
I;m surprised you didn’t do a feature today on how the new head of MSNBC pushed Cenk Uyger off the air, as was told on Keith Olbermann’s show last night. Uyger’s replacement, Al Sharpton, is a good man, but is definitely out of his league as a TV host.
I can’t wait for Olbermann to grab Uyger AND Rachel Maddow and transfer them both over to CURRENT TV, where neither will ever be trifled with by corporatist media types!
Again – damn you! 😉
Jack, I figured there was no need, as everyone everywhere is doing that story.
I stunk today 5:19.
So Pawlenty (yawn) is a thief, among other things.
I agree Jack. It would be great if Cenk and Rachel both went over to CurrentTV but now all would get to hear them anymore.
Not that bad.
Of course.
5:23 👿
Steve Wynn. 👿 Isn’t his whole business plan based on the Socialist concept of “redistribution of wealth”? 😈
National socialist, perhaps.
T Paw is an idiot. Did you hear he just got replaced by Perry (“Mr. Good Hair”) the gov of Texas, who has even declared yet? Yeah, the last time we had a gov from Texas, that didn’t work out so well for us. 🙄
He got replaced in the polls – sorry, I forgot that key piece of info. oops. 🙄
I knew. But with them you never know, so I keep exposing them all.
Boner is not looking for a deal; his party wants the default to happen and so it will. Get ready for a massive fiscal crisis and put all your investments in cash. DO IT NOW.
I actually had the unfortunate experience of hearing Steve Wynn speak live to our management group (I worked for a company that made gaming machines). The guy is a moron and a bore to listen to but our CEO was fawning all over him; I’m sure he sent our corporate jet out to get him. You have the best quarter ever and you’re saying that you are scared of the President’s policies for businesses? Go fuck yourself. 🙄
To be honest with you, that shuttle is showing it’s age – it’s 30 years old – I’m surprised it could take off, dock and land safely. That thing looks like it’s held together with chewing gum and bailing wire. 😉
See today’s biggie.
Poor Lisa. How awful for you.
4:11 Not quite fast enough. I am 65 out of 203 (320).
Wondered where you were. 😉
