Yesterday I ran errands and then rested due to the heat.  Today will depend on the temps.  I am current on replies.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 3:43 (average 4:31).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Environment News Service: An ExxonMobil pipeline running under the Yellowstone River in south central Montana burst Friday night, spilling black crude oil rushing into the river and forcing residents downstream to evacuate.

I want to cry.  I have fished that river, and it’s beauty was exquisite.

From Crooks and Liars: The RepubliCorp Pledge of Allegiance

So please rise. Hand over heart. Ready. Begin:

I pledge allegiance

To the Bathtub

Of the United Slates of Norquist.

And to the Republicans,

For which it scams,

One Corporation,

Under Fraud

With Liberty & Tax Cuts for All….

corporate jet-owning billionaires.

How appropriate!

From News Hounds: On Thursday (6/29/11), President Obama held a news conference in which he argued that high earners should pay more in taxes as part of a deficit reduction plan. Obama singled out corporate-jet owners and oil companies as examples of where the rich could pay more. Those were fightin’ words for Fox News. They’ve been yelling “class warfare” ever since. Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld added his special brand of humor and joked with his liberal co-host, Bill Schulz, that Obama should be impeached.

What?  Doesn’t he at least get a BJ first?

  1. We’re drilling for oil in a National Park? Is nothing sacred anymore? Disgusting. 😯

He should at least get a BJ for all the shit he’s been through. The rich are gonna have to pay; that’ the only way out of this.

Ha! That pic looks like it’s straight out of the 1800’s! They should have to negotiate in there since that’s where their thinking is! 🙄

    • Lisa, the pipeline ran under the river in Montana, well outside the park’s boundaries.

      Amen!

Thanks! Getting that sepia look wasn’t easy.
