Yesterday I overslept. I usually roll out between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, but I was out until 11 AM. I went out to run errands and did my online grocery shopping for the month. At 4:00 PM I could not go to sleep as usual, so I started my research early and am posting early this morning. Iβm current on replies.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today it took me 3:16 (average 4:25). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Short Takes:
From Reuters: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will not participate in a key test of strength in the early voting state of Iowa in August, his campaign said on Thursday.
Buaaaaack-buk-buk-buk!
From The Vile Plutocrat: A politically divided Securities and Exchange Commission is likely to approve a program of whistleblower rewards Wednesday over the opposition of the two Republican commissioners, sources close to the process said.
Excellent!
From Huffington Post: The Treasury Department will temporarily withhold payments to the nation’s three largest mortgage companies for failing to comply with the Obama administration’s signature foreclosure-prevention effort, perhaps finally making good on a 19-month-old threat, officials announced Thursday.
For stay-at-home voters, who actually say the parties are the same, would Republicans do this?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:06 today. Not too bad.
The Treasury withholding payments to some on Wall St.? That’s one solution to the budget crisis.
A a good one too!
Not sure how wise it is of Mittens to skip Iowa. That will NOT sit well with the Talibangelical christianists. (Not that he really had a chance with them anyway.)
Hard telling, Nameless. There is nothing for him there, but the perception of cowardice may be worse that the butt kicking.
3:39 Come, TomCat. 3:16 is insane! Give Patty and me a chance. I’m 50 out 161 (311).
Well I’m over 3:30 today. π
