Yesterday was pretty busy. I had to buy a transit pass for June and pick up a prescription for more pain meds for my mouth. I would have run out yesterday, and it’s far from healed. In the process I walked around a mile and a half, and that left me somewhat tired. It’s time to pack my winter clothes away and bring out my summer ones. I am current on replies.

From LA Times: At the G-8 summit in France, Obama wins support for aid to shore up emerging democracies and movements. Aid groups are skeptical, noting that the G-8 is behind on previous financial pledges.
This was the right thing to do.
From Plastics News: Oregon has overhauled its bottle bill for the second time in the past four years, and transformed it into the most extensive bottle bill in the United States. The new version adds virtually all on-the-go beverages that range in size from four ounces to 1.5 liters, starting no later than Jan. 1, 2018.
The expanded bottle deposit law, approved by the Senate May 25, will add the same nickel deposit that currently only applies to soft drinks, beer, water and flavored water bottles to non-carbonated juices, sports drinks, energy drinks, coffees, teas and most other on-the-go beverages.
Oregon’s bottle bill is a pain in the ass, but every time I look at the roadsides here, I’m delighted and proud that we have it.
From Chicago Pride: Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest gay and lesbian rights group, has endorsed President Barack Obama for a second term, which has some people wondering if they’ve jumped the gun.
"President Obama has improved the lives of LGBT Americans more than any President in history," said HRC President Joe Solmonese in a press release. "In 2008 we were promised change and profound change is what we got."
They are right. In spite of my objections to many of Obama’s policies, it boggles me that the “stay at home on election day” crowd ignores the many positive things he has done as well.

I agree – the G-8 needs our support.
I recycle all that stuff (I’m like Nazi recycling person – everything but snotty tissues and TP goes in the recycle bin). I even bought recycle bins for two of my gfs so they can recycle too. My recycling bin is twice the size of my garbage bin and still I have to sometime use my neighbors. 😆 Water bottles are not allowed in my house.
I agree and don’t think that endorsement is premature. Good for them!
