Yesterday I rested most of the day, and my chest feels much better.  I’m still in quite a bit of dental pain, but my dentist refilled my prescription just in time.  I need to go to the pharmacy today.  I’m current with replies.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:11 (average 5:41).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes;

From Seattle Times: Pakistan has agreed to allow the CIA to send a forensics team to examine the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed, giving the agency permission to use sophisticated equipment in a search for al-Qaida materials that might have been hidden inside walls or buried at the site, U.S. officials said.

I’d like to know what they find.

From STL Today: Since former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin shot to fame after her 2008 vice presidential bid, she has kept her intentions — if not her ambitions — closely held.

But on Thursday, Palin’s ambitions began to look increasingly presidential. Her political action committee announced that she would launch a multistate tour over the Memorial Day weekend, beginning at a motorcycle rally in Washington and winding its way up the East Coast to New Hampshire, the site of the nation’s first presidential primary.

I think this is just a publicity stunt, but I still dream of Blood-libel Barbie/Batshit B 2012.

From The Atlantic Wire: Historically, Vermont does two things best: maple syrup and progressive politics. The nation’s leading producer of the popular waffle-topping today became the nation’s only provider of single-payer health care for all. Earlier this afternoon, Vermont governor Peter Shumlin signed into law a plan meant to transform the private-run health insurance industry into a the nation’s first government-funded, government-run health care system that offers a uniform benefit package to every eligible resident.

Congrats and kudos to the people of Vermont!  May your vision prove a light to the rest of the nation!

All Republican politicians should goose-step behind Unterreichsfuhrer Ryan.  That was intended to be a factual statement.

  1. How long do you have to be a citizen of Vermont to get in on that deal? I got time and can move there. I am not needed here anymore. Also i’d get Bernie Sanders wouldn’t I? Vermont or bust we should all move there. except of course Boehner, not enough golf courses or high end bars for him.

  2. 4:16 Missed you by 5 seconds. I think I stopped to say “My Precious” once too often. I am 47 out of 147 (320).

  3. Rather than her planned bus tour, I think Sister Sarah should kick off her faux campaign with a dogsled tour. Given her college and governorship dropout rate, she can call it the Iquitalot.

  4. Glad you are feeling better!

I bet Hillary threatened the shit out of them to get them to give in.

Oh, please, not that bitch again. 🙄

Go Vermont! That is such great news!

That cat should be sitting there in plain sight because we all know who runs the legislature.

The more they do, the worse off they are – keep it up Repubs!
