I’m running late this morning, because pink-eye is interfering with my vision making both research and typing more difficult, but I am caught up on comments.  I will post this article when done.  There are three more coming above this one, and I consider them worth a return trip if you are here before they are posted.  Tomorrow will depend on my eyes.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 3:58 (5:06 average)  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Reuters:

Christine O’Donnell, the defeated Republican candidate for the Senate in Delaware in 2010 and a Tea Party favorite, has filed amended campaign reporting forms to fix mistakes, her lawyer said on Friday.

Hmmm… It took O’Dingbat’s lawyers a long time to cook the books.

From Kansas City Star: Democrats in the Kansas House plan to push the chamber to formally condemn a Republican member’s remark likening illegal immigrants to "feral hogs" that should be shot as a way to reduce their numbers, according to a draft resolution obtained Friday by The Associated Press.

The lawmaker who made the remark, Rep. Virgil Peck, a Tyro Republican, called the measure "worthless," saying Democrats were wasting time and taxpayer money pursuing it instead of tax relief and controls on state spending.

You’d think a GOPig would know better.  (That was not intended to be a factual statement.)

From Common Dreams: The fight to stop the global oil industry exploring the pristine deep waters of the Arctic has been dubbed the new cold war, and early on Friday it escalated as environmental activists from 12 countries occupied the world’s second largest rig on its way from Turkey to Greenland to drill among the icebergs.

I support this nonviolent civil disobedience 100%!
