Yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed the Super Bowl and congratulate the Green Bay Packers for their well-deserved championship. Today begins the season of mourning in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, because the Orb has set and will shed no light until August. I grieve! Iβm up to day on comments and will have to see what the day brings as there are things I have to do.

Short Takes:
From Huffington Post: AOL Inc. [NYSE:AOL] announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The Huffington Post, the influential and rapidly growing news, analysis, and lifestyle website founded in 2005, which now counts nearly 25 million unique monthly visitors.
For now, it appears that the change will not effect HuffPoβs political orientation, but I am concerned about the long term.
From Washington Post: Authorities say a Florida man is accused of stabbing another man in the neck after learning he was Muslim during a discussion about religion.
According to an arrest affidavit, the man who was stabbed told 52-year-old Bradley Kent Strott that he was Muslim while the two talked on Saturday. Investigators say Strott then grabbed the man by his shirt and stabbed him with a pocket knife.
Yet another victim of the hatred directed against Muslims by the Republican party.

5:24 How ’bout some critter pictures? Good job TomCat. This was a tough one. 10 for 38
Jerry, I have nothing to do with what pictures come up in the puzzles. Thanks. I did well today too.
I know. I was just being snarky. π
Cool! π
I hope that AOL does wreck the integrity of the news reported on HP, since that’s the place I go to first for news because they also give a world perspective. And I’ll admit, I do sometimes read the Entertainment section to get my fill of celebrity trash. And the comedy page is a killer very often. So, in other words, I’m in favor of it as long as they don’t change it. But where the hell is AOL getting the cashish for such an acquisition? β
HuffPo says it won’t change. I have no idea where they got the funds.
Stabbing a man because he is a Muslim is disgusting, but there will be little outrage. Now, if he stabbed him for being Catholic, this story would be Headline News on every station in America. Sad. π‘
Isn’t that the truth!! π
I love the bat hanging upside down on the repeal side!! Very funny, but sadly true. Ah, those Repubs, can’t live with them, and can’t kick them to the curb when you’re done with them. π
Republicans as bloodsuckers? Apt, I think!
