Few companies have a greater reputation for corruption and misconduct, from overbilling to murder, than Blackwater Corporation, who renamed themselves Xe in a fruitless attempt to distance themselves from that reputation. I labeled them the GOP SS when Bush used them against US citizens in New Orleans. It became so bad that State threatened to cut them off as long as Eric Prince is in charge. As a result, the company now has new owners. Are they still the GOP SS? And is this just an investment, or do the new owners have ulterior motives?
Private US security firm Xe, formerly known as Blackwater International, has been bought by a group of investors, they announced on Friday.
New York-based USTC Holdings said it will acquire Xe and its core operating subsidiaries, but did not disclose the price or terms of the agreement in a statement.
USTC Holdings is an investor consortium led by private equity firms Forte Capital Advisors and Manhattan Partners.
Xe’s current owner Eric price [sic], will sell his entire stake in the company and "will not be involved in the management or operation of the company," USTC Holdings said.
"The company going forward will be managed by a board appointed by the equity owners which will include independent, unaffiliated directors."
The New York Times reported Friday the sale came after the State Department threatened to stop awarding contracts to the company as long as it was owned by Prince, a former Navy SEAL.
The company, once the best known security contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan, has come under pressure since Blackwater guards were accused of killing 17 civilians in Baghdad in 2007.
Prince put the company up for sale in June and moved his family to Abu Dhabi⦠[emphasis added]

Private equity firms is a roundabout way is saying hedge funds. In short, the new owners of Xe are Banksters. I can see no reason that they would not be happy to take profits for turning their mercenary force against the American people at Republican request, but thatβs speculation, and only time will tell. Perhaps of greater concern, is the purpose of this acquisition to protect Wall Street from Main Street wrath when the next bubble bursts?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
from private equity firms to mercenaries, the entire gamut of scumbags huh?
My gut feeling is they will continue to be a mercenary/terrorist group and the banksters view them the same as any commodity they purchase, but hey nothing surprises me anymore.
I’m gonna have to try and track down the number of mercenaries in Iraq, I’m certain it’s much higher than a few thousand as we often hear.I suspect the war effort is more privatized than is being advertised.
Couple years ago I’d came across an article dealing with uniformed bodies buried in shallow graves, many places in Iraq. Iraqis investigating said they were “foreign looking”. What else could they have been but mercenaries being unceremoniously dumped ? To an Iraqi Westerners are foreign looking.
Oso, I have nothing to back my suggestion. As I said, it’s speculation. Good luck finding out how many. Can you count that high? π
Let’s get rid of ALL these shadowy “security” companies and return security back to the military. It is insane to keep these private rfirms on the public payroll accountable to no one!
Jack, I agree, and have said so repeatedly for ages. For the cost of one mercenary we can enlist several troops.
Wait until January when a major bank will be exposed by WikiLeaks. Assange said in an interview after being released from prison that emails on a big US bank would be released in January. The question is will the banksters try to assassinate Assange? As you said only time will tell if the Blackwater woman and children killers will be used against American Citizens when the people go after the Wall Street Crooks.
I’m looking forward to that day, AP, drooling with anticipation.
Same shit, same people , different name. This will not prevent Xe from committing horrible crimes in our name. Not π― .
They should be banned forever for what they’ve ALREADY done, much less what they will do. That sham trial on the 17 Iraqis that were killed – yeah, expect more of that shit. π‘
Amen.
I have to say that anon paranoid is on the right track with his comments regarding Blackwater/Xe. But I’m not yet convinced that offense is the plan.
All of these Wall Street guys live in gated communities or other easily-secured areas (or very soon will). They are seeing the outrage in the public being caused by Obama’s repeated surrenders to the GOP agenda, and they can tell that it is only a matter of time before most of us boil over. They feel they need experienced and disciplined combat veterans to protect them from us, for even the cops and the Army are filled with people whose relatives were screwed over by these pirates, and who thus are not to be entrusted with the safety and security of these self-appointed superior beings.
Once the Wall Street laagers are safe from mere mortal predation, that will be the time for them to consider attacking their aggrieved victims. By then, they will have recruited the necessary assassins to do this work. If successful, they will be able to emerge from their lairs and openly revel in their fascist dictatorship.
Realist, your speculation matches mine and is what I meant when I said, ‘protecting Wall Street from Main Street wrath’.
