Yesterday, I still felt completely exhausted after my long day on Friday. I rested and watched football until my groceries came. Getting them unpacked and put away took over two hours. I slept through most of the late games. Realistically, I know I wonβt be able to get to all the comments left during this long illness, but today or tomorrow I hope to reply to the last two or three days of them.
Jig Zone Puzzle: Today it took me 3:58. To do it, click here. How did you do?
Religious Agony:
Short Takes:
From NY Times: The Republican candidate for governor, Carl P. Paladino, told a gathering in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on Sunday that children should not be βbrainwashedβ into thinking that homosexuality was acceptable.
Yikes!! For once I agree with a Republican Teabagger! That homosexuality is acceptable is indeed an incorrect message. It would be far more accurate to say that it is normal for consenting adults to make love as defined by their own sexual orientation. Somehow, I doubt this is what the GOPbagger meant.
From Washington Post: President Hamid Karzai has confirmed he’s been in talks with the Taliban on securing peace in war-weary Afghanistan.
I hope this proves fruitful.
H/T Crooks and Liars:
SNL outdid themselves on this one.

Get some damn rest Tom. Don’t make me come out there with this attitude thing I have going on!
Mark, today I’m pretty well rested. I can tell you have an attitude going on today, my friend. Hope that venting helps. π
TC – I highly doubt that you agree with that asshole. What should have been said is that it is ok to be a homosexual, as some people are born that way and they can’t choose whom they love. That’s the message that should be given to children.
Good luck with those ‘talks’ with the Taliban. I bet you get, um, no where with that, unless you have a big ass pile of money hidden somewhere, which I highly doubt ’cause you already gave it to all your cronies in your fake election. π
Christine O’Donnell lacks a lot more than a ‘sufficient’ number that newts! Like a brain for instance. On the other hand, she looks pretty good for a 3000 year old woman! π
I don’t agree with what he meant, Lisa.
I agree it’s a long shot, but I would love to see the Afghanis settle their own problems, even if Bush and the Republicans did create them.
O’Dingbat needs only one Newt… Gingrich.
