As part of the GOP response to Obama’s foreign policy triumph, McConJob unveiled the GOP policy for dealing with Iran.
During a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing today, [Faux Noise delinked] former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) complained that United States policy towards Iran is not tough enough. McCain reportedly said that while the United States keeps pointing a loaded gun at Iran, it has yet “pull the trigger”:
Senator John McCain says the United States has been backing away from a brewing fight with Iran, while that country moves ever closer to having nuclear weapons.
McCain opened a Senate hearing Wednesday by saying that Iran will get the bomb unless the United States acts more boldly.
Speaking figuratively, the Arizona Republican says the U.S. keeps pointing a loaded gun at Iran but failing to “pull the trigger.”

Now, I am unhappy with Obama about several things, but I ask my fellow progressives who are now opposing Obama to consider where we would be had the GOP been able to steal the last election for McConJob and Mooseolini.

Quite a choice the voters of AZ are going to have to make…a teabag nut job, a hawk who wants to start WWIII or a democrat.
Our only hope is for the other two to split the slime vote.
I think this is interesting because McCain is the man had once sang “bomb Iran,” but then attacked Obama as being a unilateralist on the campaign trail, and now that the right wing fringe have risen to the national scene, McCain is back to promoting Bush-era cowboy diplomacy (which has been proven to be detrimental in the cases of Afghanistan and Iraq)…
Interesting you shoud mention that, Kevin, becsause the Unilateral Executive is a strictly GOP/neocon theory, born at AEI.
To TWM:
Maybe the end of days begins in Arizona… the right loves to claim Obama is the Antichrist, but maybe it was a deflection from the true adversary of Christ – McCain…
I was once fooled to think McCain had principles. I was upset to see him lose in 2000… Now I think that maybe we would have been worse with him then Bush (hard to believe)…
Kevin, just an FYI. You can reply to Mark best by clicking the reply link right under his comment.
Seems even McCain style cowboys or cowgirls can get traction in Toronto.
Sarah Palin is in town. And as a media magnet, she is popular.
Journalists aren’t sure but she may be getting $100,000 a speech.
Would she use some of this to help out John McCon?
You should see the shit she asks for – first class seats, security and bendy straws among the things she wants.
What Lisa said. it’s obscene!
We would have been at war with Iran already with McCain; he’s just firing up the old war machine again.
Lisa, Insert the word Nukyular 🙁
