(Due to a major PC glitch resulting from the automatic downloaded “Windows Update” I’m going to do a simple brief tribute recognizing some of the vigils and remembrances from around the world for the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando.)

There's not really anythng to add in the face of our grief. Thank you, Nameless, for a beautiful post.
I have a sense of profound sadness. For those affected by this violence…the families, the communities, and of our Country, I pray for all.
Thank you, Nameless, for this, pictures speak a thousand words.
Thank you,Joananne, for posting.
It didn't seem appropriate to include it in the post, so I'll put it here:
Open Letter to NRA & Republicans:
We can assuredly agree that we all want to see an end to mass shootings. So this begs the questions:
How many body bags does it take …
How innocent must the victims be …
How young must our children be …
Before you agree to some Common Sense Gun Control Regulations?
And in the spirit of finding common ground, how help start the conversation:
1) Ban large capacity clips. There is absolutely no legitimate use for a 15-round magazine to be available – for hunting or sport. And Police Departments and military seniors agree!
2) Stop exempting gun manufacturers from ordinary consumer protections. (Maybe even Bernie would finally agree on that one now)
3) Congress needs to stop blocking medical research into gun safety and gun deaths.
4) Anyone on the terrorist watch list or the no-fly list should be prevented from buying a gun.
We can work to end what seems to be an endless need for vigils and memorials. Let's get started!
Amen!
Another AMEN!!!
A good list, as proposed by Nameless, from which to get started in getting gun control initiated, carried out and passed as laws. 90% of the people want tougher gun laws passed.
Two things, from my perspective, is to: 1). Label the NRA as a terrorist organization
and 2). Vote the GOP/TP congresscritters, who support the NRA, out of office.

In Canada there were many vigils as seen in the pictures in Huffington Post. The PRIDE flag at Vancouver city hall was lowered, as was the Canadian flag atop the Peace Tower at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. One of the vigils was near me in New Westminster at the corner of Columbia and Church Streets where the cross walk is painted in the PRIDE colours. I have always liked that cross walk and wish that all cross walks were so painted.
“The only antidote we have is love,” Stevenson [Vancouver City Councillor and gay rights activist] said. “Accepting diversity, accepting who one wishes to love. Accepting love.”
Thank you, Nameless, for the lovely pictorial tribute.
Hugzzz…
.
Wonderful pics, Nameless. This is so much more appropriate than the Republican response of blaming victims, ignoring the LGBT element, calling for violkence against Muslims, and an assortment of ridiculous conspiracy theories.
Thank you, Nameless, for a very fitting salute to the victims of the shooting, their friends and family, and the LGBT community around the world.
